Dramatic Play
Our home corner is well set up with various pieces of kitchen / bathroom / laundry / bedroom furniture and apliances. There are numerous dolls, prams and beds, and a large assort,ent of dress-up clothes for the children.
Manipulative
We have a great range of puzzles which we change regularly. We have various construction kits / materials, threading / matching / sorting activities which we also change regularly.
Blocks / Construction
The block area has assorted size / shape / materials for the children to choose from. There is a number of Duplo sets in house / train / farm caterories
Computer
The computer is set up each day. At present we are concentrating on mouse practice and building simple concepts such as matching / memory activities.
Painting
A painting area is set up each day.
Library
A lending library operates for the benefit of the children. Each child borrows a book once a week on a designated day.
Collage Table
An assortment of materials is available at a specific table. The children are free to do this activity.
Writing Table
Writing paper and pencils are set up in a designated area.
Book Corner
Books are displayed on the shelf. Cushions are provided to encourage the children to sit and read.
Group Time - Language / Music
In accordance with DOCS regulations the larger group of 39 children is divided into 2 smaller groups of 19/20 children for language and music.
